Animal Samaritans Win IMC Extreme Business Makeover Valued At $ 20,000

Palm Desert, CA - IMC just awarded Animal Samaritans, SPCA Inc., a local non-profit, as the winner of its Extreme Business Website Makeover.

IMC president Kate Spates chose Animal Samaritans from over 20 contest entries they received because they appeared to have the greatest need. "Animal Samaritans provides vital services yet it needs more community awareness for the services they provide at low or no cost", said Kate Spates. "They have such a limited budget for marketing that we knew this program would have a huge impact for the overall benefit of our community."

Animal Samaritans SPCA is a local non-profit that's been doing good works in our desert since 1978. Their mission is to "promote the welfare of animals in the greater Coachella Valley" with programs and services such as:

• Spaying and neutering at low or no cost to prevent animal overpopulation.
• Low-cost vaccinations to promote and maintain animal health.
• Humane education to teach school-age children responsible animal care.
• Sheltering and adoption to find loving homes and companions for animals.
• Animal assisted therapy to benefit those who are in hospitals, nursing and convalescent homes.
